Today I’m focused on sharing a few things with you … in hopes that you will RELAX.
I was chatting with two gals today that are both in a very similar situation. They are both creative souls… I connect with that because I’m very creative.
- They are both stay at home moms.
- They both spend a ton of time with the kids.
- They both have a very creative side to their personalities. Anyone who can make something with their hands is A-Okay in my book.
- They both have a website that “should” be their passion and they have let it go by the wayside (each in different way).
You see… I loved my THAT Painter Lady site. I could talk about painting walls for hours. I can still talk about it – the old body just won’t let me do it much.
I can talk about wedding stuff and floral design – I can talk about decorating – I can talk and talk and talk.
It comes really easy when you have a passion.
So… because you know something about anything that is creative … are a creative soul… why don’t we figure out a way to grow that! And along the way I’ll bet we can grow your income. 🙂
Don’t focus so much on the “income” – focus on the creativity. I know that’s easy for me to say… but really when I relaxed and started to have fun with sharing creative “stuff” online… I grew my business sort of by accident.
How would you feel if you could have a plan of what you are going to do online for those few hours every day. Instead of being overwhelmed with ideas?
Relax and let’s enjoy the process!!
Do you have a blog that is sort of a journal? Or a blog where you have shared some of your creative ideas? If not… get started now.
I need you to throw out all this “make money” stuff that we have been working on. Throw it OUT (for just a bit). Get it off your plate. Let those niche websites sit for a bit.. and let’s get back to happy.
Get your mind back in your happy place. You are so special and have so much to give. I want you to sit down and decide what you want to talk about. If you love to talk about your kids… talk about them – On Your Blog – Today. Do something on your blog today!!!
Just start writing every day. Something. Get back into the habit of just sharing “Today”. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
Get into the habit of blogging every day and tweeting it (you can have it tweet automatically) – It can be just a few lines and a photo.
And get back to the idea of building a list. You can have a “cover it all blog” and still have a focus (or several focuses) and give them something in exchanging for subscribing. You don’t have to do anything about creating that “something” today.. I just want you to have it in the back of your mind.
Let’s ALL take a deep breath and Relax!
Stop reading all those emails about making money for a few days… yes – you can even ignore mine if you want. Sigh…
Stop going to every making money from home blog you see. Take a few days away from it.
Don’t stop thinking about your business… just focus on doing something creative for the next few days. And… then share it on your blog. Do this every day for just a few days.
If you only have 10 minutes… think about something fun that happened today and share that on your blog. Find a cool image that reflects that fun thing… and put that on the blog as well.
- Don’t mess with your theme.
- Don’t update your plugins.
- Don’t think about your affiliate sales.
Get in the kitchen and cook up something fun. Get out some craft supplies and play. Go outside and look at something in nature. Write a poem. Take a picture. Play the piano… or sing a song.
DO Something Fun and then share it on your blog. Today and Tomorrow and The Next Day…
After three days of just using your creative juices for a few hours… you will be excited about the process and want to have more of it.
I’ll be asking you what you loved about your relaxed version of blogging. I really will. And… I want to see your blogs! So get ready to share!
I’m here for ya…

Just published my first post in yonks thanks to you Debra 🙂 I’m looking forward to resurrecting my Gippsygirl blog and really enjoyed writing. Trouble is, it’s hard to stop once I start, so it’s easy to get to 700 plus words in a short space of time!
I like ‘winging’ it so who knows what tomorrows post will be about. Ideas swirling in my head already.
Christine
Christine… wonderful blog post! I love it. I even left a comment. Can’t wait to see what you write about tomorrow.
