Remember this? K.I.S.S. or Keep It Simple Silly (Stupid). The super simple ideas are always the best… they are also often the ones that we don’t “see”. Keeping track of all the bits and pieces of information we collect every day is a task that feels more like a burden.
The information age means that we are sifting and digesting a multitude of tiny bits of information at a very fast pace… just to keep up. Keeping up is really a false statement – I can’t possible keep up with it all. I don’t worry about missing the next “great idea”. I do worry about keeping track of important email and products I’ve purchased or need to use.
We all buy, read or view tons of info that we want to access later. Some of it is educational or just “really good stuff” – but what about the “stuff” we have paid for in anticipation of making money with it?
What about all the Resell Rights and PLR we have spent our hard earned profits on and it’s sitting on our computer collecting dust? Do you even remember what you have purchased? This is a problem many of us have.
Does if feel like a waste of money? It does to me… and a waste of time.
I spend too much time looking for things that I have filed away in places that must have made sense that day… but have no meaning today.
I was reading ’s webcopyresults.com blog today titled “Get Organized For Success”. The title should be A Different Way Of Organizing Things On Your Computer.
I won’t give away all the details… Trish has lot’s of good ideas to share – but I will share one of the ideas I’m putting into practice today!
She uses a simple filing “tweak” called “MONETIZE THIS!” It is so simple that I never thought of it. I’ve been doing all kinds of file annotations and highlighting to accomplish the same results. This is a quick and easy solution to a potential time and money waster.

Hi Debra –
Glad you liked the “MONETIZE THIS!” approach.
Apparently, I needed a sledge hammer rather than a gentle reminder re: what I need to do with that material!
Glad you found it useful -
Trish
PS You’re right – I like your title much better, too.
Trish…
Yep… we all need a good sledge hammer available.
