Purchasing The Next Big Online Marketing Idea Can Be A Mistake

by Debra Conrad

You don’t always have to Pay for a new information product to get the best ideas. When you do use a information product from a Guru – don’t always follow the pact. Try to use the information that will help you but use it in a slightly different way.

Hi Debra!

I really like the way you put your own spin on your sites. I own several of the same “guru” info products that you do and, as you pointed out, you can usually spot those sites in a second.

I LOVE your Toy Story Bedroom site – such a creative and unique site! I can see the elements of the systems you’re using but that site doesn’t look like all the other “cookie cutter” sites. And it’s ranking well – proof positive that you’re on to something with what you’re doing!

Thanks Wendy for the kind remarks.

You are right… I’ve learned to “use the good stuff”… but then add my own spin. I am so discouraged when I see 5 or more sites in the exact same niche and it’s obvious they
just applied the same theme and exact technique as the author.

I wonder how in the world it feels to be competing against each other and the “guru”.

Use their knowledge to learn… try to be at least a little different. And also everyone should try to find micro niche ideas that are a bit off the “radar” and not compete so much with
each other. Everyone wins.

Have a great day Wendy… and keep in touch.

Great video, Debra! I agree right down the line with you. It is astounding how much free information is given away, and with just a little interpolation, you can beat them at their own game. Thanks for the encouragement.

It would be interesting to see a Public Domain application with this — perhaps targeting remakes?

Keep up the good work — you’re a guru in my book!!

Thanks Susan…

LOL – Thanks for the compliment but I certainly don’t think of myself as a “GURU”…

I’m just an over 50 gal growing my business so my hubby can retire in the secure knowledge that we will always have a steady lifetime income.

This is my motto: Some marketing gurus try to teach the ways of online marketing… and they have never sold a product…. except a product that teaches you how to sell products. What do they know? Nothing.

The plan is… to help you shuffle through the piles of garbage and find the hidden gems that will get you going with your new business and keep you making money.
