I saw this happy picture and couldn’t help but add it here. I am feeling happy and breathing much easier.
Last time we chatted, I told you about the VA I am using from the Philippians. So far I have him doing key-word research for new Amazon product bundles I’ll be listing and transcribing some of my podcasts.
I’m just about set up to have him start listing all of my thrift store scores on eBay. I’ve had to set up a system, so it works for all of us. Systems are something we should all have in place and when you hire Virtual Assistants it does force the issue.
Next, I went on the hunt for a new team member from the U.S. who would be more in tune with what I wanted to accomplish regarding all the internet real estate I have and “Upping My Cred”.
Finding A US Based Virtual Assistant
I wasn’t having much luck finding a US Based Virtual Assistant, and then a few weeks ago I literately stumbled on the answer. I was poking around online for something totally unrelated to VA’s and ran across a website that looked a tiny bit familiar.
I finally remembered, I met the founder of this website a few months ago at the 1kaday conference in Las Vegas. We hit it off and chatted for a while about our business in general and that she wanted to have me on one of her webinars to teach.
We didn’t talk about VA stuff at all. I had no idea she worked for others. In fact, she is in a place where she isn’t taking on clients.
Nevertheless, I asked and she said YES. (My winning personality is probably NOT the reason why… but will go with that anyway)
I was anxious to hire someone PDQ (Pretty Darn Quick) – even if it was only for one project.
I have this project I am stuck on and couldn’t seem to move forward. It’s pretty dog-gone important to me, and yet I was still stuck on stupid.
The Sky Parted – Stars Aligned – Power of Positive Thinking
What ever you want to call it… it’s perfect timing in my book. She is open to whatever project I send her way, and she already knew how to get this next project (which had me just turned into a knot) off the ground.
VA’s based in the U.S. are going to cost more than International VA’s. That’s just a given.
I’m fine with that.
I’m outsourcing to both, but completely different tasks.
How Many Team Members Do I Have Now?
One technical genius who keeps all of my websites, shopping carts and other tech stuff on track and me out of hot water. Could not exist without her.
One book-keeper that comes once a month and keeps all that paper work junk out of my hair. She lives in a different town so she is also sourcing for me in her area.
One U.S. based VA – who is taking care of some overwhelming projects and also working on a ramp up of my social media reach. She Rocks!
One Filipino VA who is going to get my eBay business back on track.
One housekeeper – yes she is part of my team. Every 2 weeks she comes in for 4 hours and I haven’t cleaned a bathroom in years. (We love her like family)
One Hubby – who helps me with much of my shipping for Amazon and eBay. He also keeps me sane – which is not an easy task.
Still On The Hunt
I’m still working on hiring several locals to help me grow my business.
We have several people in our inner circle that may join my team soon. Fingers crossed.
Have you hired your first assistant yet?
I encourage you to test getting a bit of help. I used to be one of “those” that didn’t want to spend any of my hard earned cash on help. I can’t tell you how much (even a tiny bit) of help will leverage your time to more profit.
It’s like magic!
