New Blog Disappeared From Google Is Back

by Debra Conrad

The new blog I talked about a few days ago – the one that was ranking #9 – totally disappeared from Google. I mean it was not to be found. This lasted for about 2 days and now it’s back.

The Toy Story Bedroom site is now ranking #8.  Geesh… that’s so annoying. Glad it’s back.

Even though the site wasn’t showing up on Google I went ahead and finished it up. I have put some new inbound links sprinkled around the internet. Maybe that’s what brought it back.

It’s actually fun to try to figure out all the things you should be doing to get a site up in the top rankings of Google.

So far I haven’t gotten the IndianaJonesBedding.com site to budge.  I’m so impatient. LOL

I’ll be going on vacation for a week – this will give my new blogs a chance to just percolate. I won’t be working on any sites for an entire week!

I have a few days before the laptop get’s shut down – I’ll be working on figuring out how to bump Target.com and eBay off the top 2 for Indiana Jones Bedding.  What could Google think is so important on those sites? Probably age, size and links.

I can’t compete with age, size or links.  So I won’t even worry about it.

The number 3 site is my site that has an article linked to the Indiana Jones Bedding. It has age, size and links.  So I’m really competing with myself.

I think what I will work on next is getting the same link “juice” I’ve been working on for the Indiana Jones Site  – but instead I will  start trying to get my number 3 blog post ranked over the #1 and #2.

It’s worth a try…

Hey Debra,

Any updates on your IPK sites? I subscribed to Network Blazer and am hoping to have my first IPK site live by Wednesday. I’ll keep you posted ;)

Hey Ashley…

I have never used Network Blazer. I didn’t see the benefit. Tiffany Dow likes Network Blazer so I have
been following her progress with Network Blazer sites. She does not use the Network Blazer system for her small (micro niche sites).

Network Blazer is good for “Mother Sites” it seems… but I’m really not at that point yet.

Let me know why you chose to go with Network Blazer (very curious) and what results you have with it.

Hey Debra,

So, I’m going to be pulling the plug on Network Blazer :( I’ve basically got my whole site finished, but there are a few glitches that I cannot get worked out, and the tech support has been non-existent (which is not newbie friendly!)

I originally joined up because I saw Tiffany’s endorsement and thought it looked like the easiest way to get a site up. It has been pretty easy, but when you hit a problem, and can’t get it figured out, there is no help. I even posted in their forum, and that hasn’t helped either.

My husband looked at it last night for me. He is an IT guy, and he couldn’t get it working either. He suggested I use the sitebuilder that comes with HostGator. It says that even an 8 year old can do it. Which by the way is going to make me feel majorly stupid if I can’t figure it out ;)

What are you using right now to build your mini-sites? Is that what you use Thesis for? I need to use something free right now ;)

Ashley – I was kind of afraid that Network Blazer wouldn’t be as “newbie” friendly as claimed. I can’t help you because I don’t use it.

I don’t recommend “ever” using anything that hosting accounts provide for two reasons:

1. The customer support isn’t helpful in my experience.
2. You need to be using something that someone can give you some quick help with – (that would be me). :)

I do use Thesis for all my new niche sites – I am considering purchasing Socrates – but haven’t figured out why it would help me
to create sites faster than I already know how.

Free is always better when you are just starting out. As Word Press is free and I found several great FREE WP themes – this is the best
way to go.

I just coached a gal and helped her get set up for “free” using the Weaver Theme

You can see her site here: Ice Makers Portable

In fact we are working on this gals 4th site – she is excited because she has already made over $20 commission last month (which is $18.50 more than she made last year).

If you would like to have me coach with you to get started – just let me know. :0)
