Got a question today about How To Quickly Research For Keyword Rich Domain Name:

Well I am trying to complete the little assignment you gave us regarding the Two Crafty Gals.

My area of interest is Antiques and I have found a product on Clickbank which looks promising to sell as an affiliate.

The product is “Buying and Selling Antiques For Fun and Profit”.

I did research on keywords and came up with “Learn How To Profit From Buying and Selling Antiques and Have Fun”. Google shows 79,300 listings for this keyword string. Not really to high compared to other combination’s of keywords.

I am now starting to look for a free product I can give away.

I am hoping to locate a Public Domain product. Just wanted to get a feel as to whether I seem to be on the right track, as this is my first attempt at anything like this.

Thanks, Ken Mason

The clickbank product sounds like it might be a good fit.

You will find a “TON” of public domain content you can use to create your own products – I can help with that.

Where you have gone off track is the keyword selection.

You want to look for something with about 3 words – something that is actually searched. I can’t explain it well here… so I made a video for all of you. I’m just nice that way ;)

Thanks for the tip about using long-tail keywords and key word phrases in our domain name search. I think more people will find a site that way that some of those crazy “what does that mean” names out there.

Great video, easy to understand, another friendly reminder not to get too big for our britches and pick a keyword that has so many searches we can’t possibly hope to compete. Better to fish in a smaller lake, than an ocean.

Great video, Debra. I love the way you are showing us how to get our key words. I love the way you left in the slow periods also.
