Continuing the conversation between Alyssa and I (Debra Conrad):

Debra,

Ok on the articles. . . am I writing “how to” or just general things about ebooks, video products, audio products, etc.??

Wondering what you think about these article / blog posts ideas?

Wow… your site looks great! clean and I like the header.
You are my hero for writing articles… nice image, easy to scan paragraphs, easy to read font, black on white back ground text.
The article titles are good… Make sure to use “Info Product Creation” at least once in every blog post and link it back to your home page as anchor text.
I hope you will also concentrate on articles about setting up everything in a word document.  All basic easy stuff…
  • Graphics
  • Borders.
  • Legal page.
  • Front page
  • Headers and footers
  • Paragraph size
  • Fonts

all the best practices stuff…

On the right side bar (connect with Alyssa) – place a picture of yourself. (Black and white) – it will balance the above the fold look and feel.

The blog is a little (tiny bit) buzy to me with the “share your thoughts” link and retweet and images – all distracting from the title of the blog article.  It’s feels like “What do I click on????”.

I like the image – it directs me to the point where I should start reading.

Debra

Ok I made the changes you specified.

I would make those 5 articles all show up on the front page for your “announcing this new blog”  – then go back to 3 when you have lot’s more content. All 5 are then easy to see all on the same page.  In fact – I would make this one sticky at the top!  What Is Content?

p.s.  the site looks “MUCH” better…

Now we are up to the “What Should You Include In Your Free Report” that answers the “hair on fire – most burning question…

That’s coming next.

I hope this is a fun read… and helping you to get clarity in the process.

p.s. Yes – I am working on my new Recipe Blog site. I got a bit derailed over the last 2 days. Wedding planning (my oldest son is coming home from Italy and getting married at my home in December) and my in-laws are in town for the winter – so I am the entertainment coordinator or all things family related. All fun stuff – but distracting.

I am still having the special (my birthday) reveal day on Sunday November 28th…  with special pricing and a secret way to get my new “how-to” product for FREE!  Ya-all just have to wait. :)
